СЕЛЕКЦІЯ МОЛОЧНОЇ ХУДОБИ ЗА СТІЙКІСТЮ ДО ЗАХВОРЮВАНЬ

Зі зростанням надою у високопродуктивних стадах молочної худоби підвищилась частота «лактаційних захворювань»: маститу, кульгавості, метриту, кетозу, затримки плаценти та зміщення сичуга. У деяких країнах вже проводиться генетична оцінка ознак здоров’я молочної худоби: скандинавські країни – із середини 1970-х рр., США – 1994 р., Німеччина і Австрія – 2006 р., Франція – 2010 р., Канада – із 2014 р. Обов’язковою умовою такої оцінки є запровадження регулярного систематизованого обліку. Практичні рекомендації для збору даних, а також методику використання їх для генетичної оцінки розробив ICAR. Ускладнюють селекцію за стійкістю до захворювань неповна реєстрація хвороб та способів їх лікування, їх пізній фенотиповий прояв та низька успадковуваність, обмеження за статтю, використання непрямих ознак здоров’я і зниження генетичного різноманіття популяції молочної худоби. Широке використання маркерів ДНК для генетичного поліпшення сьогодні обмежується відсутністю точності їх розміщення. Тому нині селекція молочної худоби за стійкістю до захворювань зосереджена на створенні та впровадженні селекційних індексів.
